Hi, I am Tash, a mother to 5 children. The age difference between my oldest child and youngest child is 13 years. It is only when I reflect on the age gap and look at my eldest, I realised how important capturing memories are. I have done my best to capture all our family moments but as the world changes the way we capture moments have changed. So, I decided to create something long lasting.
Casting for me is a way of protecting those little features that we forget about, its about keeping those precious memories alive and this is what inspired me, having my 4th baby is when I started casting, so back in 2016, at that time we had just moved down to Wiltshire from Buckinghamshire and I wanted to stay at home with my children as much as I could, and my husband was working in London at the time, so he was gone from the Sunday evening until the Thursday/Friday evening.
I gave it up for a little while and only did a few for friends and family, this is where my story really begins, I did a cast for my best mate and her mum, sadly during one of the Covid-19 lockdowns her mum passed, but she will always have that cast to treasure. For her to always have the cast to remember her mum by, to have that physical item to hold and feel, this is the reason I started back up and to make a proper go of it, so others can have that special memento in the toughest of times.
Conventionally photographs are how we capture special moments, but if we think about the way this has changed over last 10-20 years. How many of us carry a camera? What percentage of photos are now taken on phones? Of the pictures taken on phones how many are backed up when we get an upgrade and never looked at again? When was the last time you got a load of prints of a holiday or birthday printed out like we use to with a camera film?
Memories By Denaro was created to help people capture those special moments before it is too late.
Casts can be made as a reminder of how small your baby was or can be a couple linking hands, I do encourage you to look at the detail that can be captured on your hands or rings. I have been casting for many years and confident I use the best materials to give the best results.
