Having the actual mould done takes only a few minutes, so the appointment made will be for roughly 30 minutes, just to cover all eventualities. Once the mould has been made it will vary on the size of the cast as to how long it will take for cast to be finished and ready for collection, but it is normally between 1-3 weeks, this can change depending on busy periods.
3D casting is a three dimensional replica of hands and feet captured in meticulous detail and preserved for perpetuity. … 3D castings are particularly popular for preserving infant’s hands and feet, adult’s hands and feet and bellies of pregnant women. 3D Casting suits all ages, from newborns to adults.
Yes, the materials used are completely safe for your baby. Alginate’s main ingredient is kelp, a form of seaweed, so it’s completely safe to use on your skin! The alginate I use is “dental grade”, meaning it can be used by dentists to make moulds in people’s mouths.

If you are coming for a cast, I would recommend wearing short sleeved tops or loose sleeves, something that can be rolled up easily. If you are having casts of a baby done then I recommend you wearing something that you don’t mind getting dirty, as you will be holding baby, but I do have aprons here if you would like to protect your clothes.
